Light at the Lighthouse Festivals Sponsors Christmas Carols at Local Hospitals
As the weather turns colder, “It’s Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas,” and Light at the Lighthouse Festivals will once more bring the Spirit of Christmas to local hospitals.
As a thank you to major Festival sponsor Providence Hospitals, we will lead Christmas Carols at the annual employee Christmas Luncheons at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance on Tuesday, December 11th; and Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital San Pedro on Thursday, December 13th.
And, celebrating the 40th anniversary of caroling at Kaiser Permanente Hospital South Bay, Dr. Bill Fleury will once more lead musicians and singers on a tour of the hospital on Thursday, December 20th, stopping at each nursing unit to serenade staff and patients. Over the years, many of those spending the Christmas season in the hospital have expressed much pleasure and gratitude for having their day brightened by Christmas music they know and love. A few years ago, a patient in the ICU actually awoke and thought they were in Heaven, on hearing “O Holy Night” being sung!
